Cake Stories is family run licensed Coffee House & Cakery in the heart of Jesmond, which we have been crafting since 2015 to create the kind of cosy, quirky, friendly place where we would like to hangout. We hope you like to hangout here too!
As well as our signature Square Cakes hand baked by us in an ever changing selection of the latest and greatest flavours know to man and woman! (Vegan and gluten free options available... and they are flipping' brill), we do lots of other tasty stuff too....
We can talk a long time about the things we love about Cake Stories, such as the beautiful coffee, the huge selection of loose leaf tea, the fact all our food, scones and cakes are made by us, our super friendly and brilliant team, the good hearty freshly prepared food or the many, many lights but the best thing we can do is to invite you for a visit... the door is open!
open until late
HOME TO THE

Loads of Varieties
We bake close to 100 different varieties and flavours with new creations regularly added so always check in with the Cakery or our social media for which flavours we are stocking today.
And remember… if you need a gift, a treat, a surprise, a gift or just a super yummy pick-me-up, Square Cakes are available to takeaway from the Coffee House and Cakery.
Vegan & Gluten Free
Our rule is that any vegan or gluten free Cake Stories cake should be so good you can't tell... which is why they taste utterly banging whether you're into that kind of thing or not.
Not Cake Food
It's not just cakes you know!
Our kitchen serves up super fresh savoury food made to order using locally sourced ingredients. We have you covered for breakfast, lunch and tea... and all the bits in-between
Beer, Wine and stuff
Hi, fancy going out for the night?
Hmmm, not sure i fancy going into town
Ok, how about the pub?
Naaah, it's a bit rowdy, a drink would be nice though.
Ah how about our 'open until late' local independent licensed Coffee House & Cakery who stock a fine range of local ales, gins, whiskies and wines?
That sounds perfect.
FYI - They do a brill cheese board too
