A pot of tea? Which brew would you like? Thanks to our local Newcastle supplier Pumphrey's, we stock lots and lots of lovely, fresh loose leaf tea. It would be a shame for you to miss out on the loveliness, so the challenge is... have you tried them all?
Each brew has a wonderful character and personality, which we have tried to communicate in each description to help you choose where to start, and which one to have next! I can recommend the Sencha & Wild Cherry for a lovely late summer afternoon accompaniment! Or maybe a pot of Lapsang Souchong, the tea for an Instagram world?
And remember, with the Cake Stories Coffee Club card when you buy 6 hot drinks, you'll get the 7th free... but as if you needed an excuse to drink more tea?!
Below are our green teas, they're like close friends to us, helping us through the tough times, and celebrating with us through the good! Check out our menu to see the rest of the bunch including black teas and fruit infusions!
Sencha - this green tea is steamed to prevent fermentation and produces a smooth and mellow taste... enjoys riding a bicycle to the market and filling the basket with fresh organic herbs and vegetables
Gunpowder - Green Pearl tea with a gentle flavour and distant undertones of tobacco... often found rocking in a chair in front of the house, talking to passers-by about the shocking state of the economy and snoozing frequently
Sencha & Wild Cherry - cherry-flavoured green tea steamed to prevent fermentation, with dried cherries... fruity and flirty with a penchant for wearing culottes of all colours.
Spearmint Gunpowder - this Green Pearl tea, pan fried & rolled into little pellets, has a delicate and refreshing taste... having always been the teacher’s pet, Spearmint Gunpowder has become the rebel without a cause
Jasmine - China Foochow tea with Jasmine flowers, this tea has a sweet and fragrant aroma, delicate, smooth and floral taste...
So, a pot of tea? Which one is it going to be? ... and would you like a scrummy yummy cake with that? You deserve it...
